Fire Chief Compton, a Pine Bluff native, started his career at Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services on November 28, 1993. Chief Compton worked his way up through the ranks in the Operations Division. He then transitioned to the Fire Prevention Division serving the remaining portion of his career before appointment as an Assistant Fire Marshal with the rank of Lieutenant. Chief Compton was ultimatelty appointed Fire Chief by Mayor Flowers on Dec. 30th, 2025. He is dedicated to applying his knowledge and insight to benefit the community, while actively contributing to the enhancement of the organizational envirnoment for employees.
